Objectives

The project "La Rarità su due ruote" aims to promote equal access to sports activities (particularly in cycling) and competitions for people and athletes affected by rare diseases, through the testing of the good practice "La Rarità su due ruote" - developed by the coordinator - in 3 different countries of the European Union and through the exchange of good practices at European level. The project will be developed through: - the training of trainers and coaches on the good practice "La Rarità su due ruote"; - the development of strategic plans for awareness-raising campaigns in each country; - the creation of a sports team (cycling) in each country involved that, during national competitions/events, will talk about the rare diseases that affect its members, in order to expand information and awareness about: a) their rare disease; b) the benefits of sport for people affected by rare diseases; - the organization of awareness-raising sports events; - the development of policy recommendations addressed to national and European policy makers.
